What Rubber does the Heated Anti-Fatigue Mat use?

Updated over 3 months ago

Anti-fatigue rubber sits above the heat mat, providing essential user comfort on hard, cold floors and reducing strain to help prevent injuries to workers caused by prolonged standing.

Whilst developing the top 'rubber' layer for our Heated Anti-Fatigue Mats, we focused on four key design-requirements:

  1. Comfort: It needed to provide ergonomic support

  2. Durability: It had to withstand tough industrial environments

  3. Heat Transfer: It had to efficiently allow heat to pass through (rubber is a poor conductor of heat due to its molecular structure and composition)

  4. Non-Burning Smell: It couldn’t produce a burning rubber-like smell under high temperatures

After four years of testing with Customers, we developed a low-profile design, featuring a 4mm high, black, studded compound with a grip textured surface and soft feel. This was chosen as the top preference by all of our users.
