Alternative industrial heaters, like convection gas units or portable fans, blow hot air. The problem is that heat rises to the high ceilings, away from standing and static workers on the ground who need it! Hot air also escapes, and cold air enters, through drafts and regularly used roller-shutter or loading-bay doors.
